Daily Makeup Tips(Eyoi Team Makeup Artistik)

DAILY MAKEUP

The purpose of daily makeup is generally to maintain your looks on a regular basis. So this includes the simple things that help you proceed in your daily life. However, applying cosmetics on a daily basis may not be a good idea as too much of it could prove harmful for the skin. But the argument in its favor says that daily makeup helps the women feel more confident.

Daily Makeup Tips
  • Always remember that while using the cosmetics on a daily basis you should use only quality products.
  • Therefore choosing the cosmetics is an important step as it is directly related to the skin care and health.
  • For the purpose of daily makeup usually powder cosmetics are preferred because they not only keep the shine under control but also contain less preservatives and skin irritants as compared to the liquid ones.
  • In case you cannot avoid use of the liquid foundation then you should opt for one, which has a silicone base because the silicone base does not cause acne.
  • If you apply makeup daily then you also need to remove it daily and for this you may need to use the makeup remover.
  • But remember that using makeup remover to clean out waterproof cosmetics also wipes out the protective layer of sebum from the skin, therefore you should use waterproof cosmetics only occasionally and not on routine basis.
  • You should never use the cosmetics that have crossed their expiry dates because it could be extremely harmful.
  • You should also wash and clean the makeup brushes and sponges regularly.
  • Normal life span of the cosmetics
    - Mascaras: about 3 to 4 months
    - Foundations: last for 1 year
    - Lipsticks: last for 1 year
    - Powder: last for about 2 years
    - Eye shadows: last for about 2 years.
For the purpose of daily makeup Pencil eyeliner and eyebrow pencils that are wax based should be preferred because they can be cleaned off easily by using water only.
  • For the daily makeup light earth tones are preferable as they not only give a natural look but also are less likely to cause skin irritation than the darker colors.
  • You should use a broad-spectrum sunscreen. The sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor 15 or higher and with ingredients such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide is very effective in avoiding the harmful effects of UVA rays.
  • However, for the daily use cosmetics with fewer ingredients are much safer therefore you should opt for the cosmetics that contain not more than 10 ingredients.
  • Though nail polishes are very important for giving a beautiful look to your hands but they are not for daily use.
  • For a quick pedicure you should scrape the dead skin off the soles of your feet after shower using an emery board.
  • You should rub them over with lotion or olive oil or petroleum jelly and push back the cuticles of your toenails.
  • You can wear socks all the time to maintain them.
  • For a quick manicure you can follow the similar procedure.
  • You can maintain them by wearing gloves at night.

HOW TO DO MAKEUP LIKE A DOLL

HOW TO DO MAKEUP LIKE A DOLL
Let's face it, porcelain dolls, and all dolls for that matter, are pale beauties and always look flawless. Here's how to make your makeup look like a doll easily, without any costume makeup.

Steps

  1. 1
Start with a clean, oil and makeup-free face. Put on some lotion if you have dry skin. Cover up any pimples/zits with a cover-up stick. Brush a light colored loose powder, or powder-based foundation over your face. Make sure your skin tone is even and slightly paler than before. Apply some powder on your lips to make them about your skin tone. If they're not quite as pale, than that's fine. But make them not as pink as before.
  2. 2
    Brighten up
. Since your face is paler than before, you need to add some color. Take some very light pink blush and apply it just barely under the cheek bone in the shape of a circle. The circle should be about the same size as your eye, maybe a little smaller. Relax your face when applying the blush.
  3. 3
Do your eyes. Apply a thin, thin line of black eyeliner on your upper lash line. The closest to your lashes the better. Do not put any eyeliner to the side of your eyes, and try to avoid adding eyeliner near the inside corner of your eye. In the inside corner add some white eyeliner that has some slight shimmer in it. The white should go on the inside corner, and go underneath your eye to where the color in you eye begins when you stare straight ahead.

4. Add the eye makeup. Right now your face is very plain and dull. This is where it gets more doll-like. With the black liquid eyeliner or just regular stick eyeliner, you're going to draw another thin line of eyeliner, but this time on the bottom lashes. Allow the line to go all the way until it meets with the white eyeliner. If you're using liquid, let it dry before continuing..
5.Carefully, and with a steady hand, especially if you're using liquid eyeliner, begin to add 'Twiggs' to your bottom lash line. (See side for an example. For basic twiggs pull your cheek downward with your hand and stroke the eyeliner straight downward. When you finish your twiggs, on the eyelid feel free to apply you light pink blush with your finger to add a slight bit of color. Blend it in to look natural using your ring finger.

6.Do the lips. With a brush, apply a medium to dark red or pink lip color, downward in a straight line in the center of your lips. Then repeat drawing a line of the left side, and then again on the right. Your lips should look like you are sucking in your mouth, or pouting. The color should only be in the middle. You can shape it into a heart if you would like.
7.Finish up. Now you're done! Just apply mascara to your upper eyelashes and you're doll-like.

Tips

  • If your face isn't any paler after you add your base, try getting a color that is one or two shades lighter than you usually wear.
  • Make sure your blush is in a circle. The circle makes it more doll-like. Even if it's not that bold on your face, the pale-pink circle does add the effect you're looking for.
  • Act young and innocent, but not immature when wearing the make-up. That would make you even more doll-like.
  • You can wear blue or green contacts if you like. A lot of Victorian dolls have crystal blue colored eyes.
  • Natural looking false eyelashes can make your upper eyelashes really pop. Add them if you would like to.
  • Adding a plain bow to your hair adds some cute child-like and some doll-like flair.
  • Twiggs take practice.

Warnings

  • Don't allow your blush to be too dark. Think pale and light.
  • If you don't have a steady hand when you do the twigs under your bottom lash line, it might look silly if the twigs are crooked, or not space correctly.
  • This might look slightly silly in public. But if you have high confidence, go for it! The doll look is a really good idea for photo shoots and costume parties etc.
  • Dont get offended if people laugh or say mean things if you do go out in public like this, it is quite extreme for most places.

How to Do Special Effect Makeup for Film

How to Do Special Effect Makeup for Film

    • HOW TO USE SPECIAL EFFECT MAKEUP TO CREATS BRUISES & BLOODS

Special effects makeup can be used to create some pretty amazing results. You can use the makeup to create cuts, bruises and blood on anyone, making for realistic accident, fight or murder victims. Whether you are using the makeup for effects for a film, theater production or other special event, here are some application tips.

Instructions

things you'll need:

  • Spirit gum
  • Special effects paints: white, green, blue, yellow, purple and red
  • Special effects skin
  • Makeup brush
  • Makeup foam wedge
  • Powder
  • Corn syrup
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • Sifted flour
  • Water
  • Container
  1. Special Effects Cuts

    • 1

Apply white special effects makeup to the area where you would like to put the cut. This prepares the skin for the subsequent makeup.

    • 2

Cut a bit of special effects skin. Make sure to cut a piece large enough to fit the cut you want to create.

    • 3

Slice the fake skin, thus creating a cut in the middle of it. Just like regular cuts are rarely completely clean, add some jagged edges to the cut for a more realistic look.

    • 4

Use spirit gum to attach the fake cut to the real skin. Blend the edges so it looks realistic.

    • 5

Apply makeup in a shade that matches the surrounding skin, thus completely blending the fake skin into the surrounding skin.

    • 6

Add fake blood and bruising makeup for a finished look.

    Special Effects Bruises

    • 1

Apply white makeup to the area you want the bruise to be. This sets the base for the upcoming makeup layers.

    • 2

Use the makeup brush or sponge to apply red makeup to the area. Generally, it's best to begin with lighter shades of makeup and work up to the darker shades. When applying the makeup, pat or press it onto the skin. Like regular bruises, you want lots of color variation.

    • 3

Take the purple makeup and pat it onto the area. Again, keep the application varied as real bruises are rarely solid colors.

    • 4

Repeat the makeup application with the blue and green colors.

    • 5

Blend the colors with a light layering of yellow makeup.

    • 6

Set the fake bruise with translucent powder. This will prevent smearing.

    Special Effects Blood

    • 1

Measure 1 and 3/4 cups of corn syrup.

    • 2

Mix the corn syrup with 1/4 cup of water.

    • 3

Add 100 drops of red food coloring and 8 drops of blue food coloring.

    • 4

      Shake the mixture.

    • 5

Add 1/4 cup of sifted flour and mix thoroughly.

    • 6

Apply the new fake blood mixture to any cuts, bruises or gashes. Use special effects makeup to make the blood application more real-looking.

How to Do Special Effect Makeup for Film
Whether you just want to create special effects with makeup for a home video or you aspire to be a professional makeup artist for major motion pictures, you can do it with a few inexpensive items. If you want to pursue a career as a special effects makeup artist, you should document all of your work for a portfolio and take classes on the techniques of a special effects film makeup artist. Even the professionals use ingredients that can be bought at a grocery store or a drug store.

Instructions

things you'll need:

  • Bald cap
  • Spirit gum
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Costume makeup
  • Sponges
  • Liquid latex
  • Eyelash adhesive
  • Nose and scar wax
  • Baby powder
  • Baby oil
    • 1

Clean the skin on the areas where you will be applying makeup. Make sure the subject is not allergic to liquid latex or any other items you will be using.

    • 2

Apply a bald cap to cover any hair if the look you hope to achieve requires it. Stick the cap to the skin around the hairline with spirit gum, which is a skin-safe adhesive. Smooth the edges of the bald cap with liquid latex.

    • 3

Spread spirit gum on the areas you will be applying the nose wax to sculpt muscle tone or simulate rips or gashes. Use baby oil to smooth the wax while you are spreading and molding it on the skin. To smooth and blend the edges of the wax to the skin, use a sponge to apply the liquid latex and baby oil.

    • 4

Dust the subject's face with baby powder to set the effects you have created. This will make a good base for the cream or costume makeup you are going to use to add color and the finishing touches.

    • 5

Use cream makeup and any type of colored makeup to create shading in creases and such details as veins, wrinkles or shadows under the eyes. You can even use such food products as jelly or gelatin to simulate blood and torn flesh.
